Rewind

Just came across some photos from  2009

Well, Blaze is Blaze, that have not changed
Sometimes I miss the ski racing stuff. Only the sport part of it though.
Blaze with the competition. Those were the time when I still believed that the best dog will win. Ha! I laugh at myself. When you think that professional sports are loaded with politics and you switch to dog shows to get rid of politics you just hit a concrete wall  with frozen face. Dogs will make up about 30-40% , max , of a conformation dog show.

I strongly believe that the Europeans have banned the Canadians to compete at their shows for good reason for a while. Most of European countries will not award a Ch title to a dog under 18 months of age, some countries require even older dogs. I totally agree with them. In Canada you can have awarded the Ch title in few weekends for a 7-8 months dog which basically can turn into a not to attractive adult dog. All you need is to hire a good, well known handler. Especially in Alberta.I'm really not fond of the conformation ring.
